Partnering with Vision Engineering, the Northwest CT Manufacturing Regional Sector Partnership is hosting a networking and information event on March 11, 2025, starting at 8:00 – 9:30 AM.
Our host, Vision Engineering, are world leaders in ergonomic microscopy, digital 3D visualization, and metrology solutions. Their pioneering eyepiece-less stereo microscopes, digital 3D inspection systems, and metrology systems enable their customers globally to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity. Vision Engineering will share some best practices, and guests will be able to experience the “Mantis – THE stereo microscope for you.”
NRWIB will provide an update on the mission, goals, and accomplishments of the Northwest Regional Workforce Investment Board (NRWIB). Representatives from the Department of Labor and Workforce Board will be in attendance to connect and provide resources.
Chief Manufacturing Officer Paul Lavoie will join us to share updates. Paul S. Lavoie was appointed by Governor Ned Lamont as the Chief Manufacturing Officer for Connecticut in February 2022. The Chief Manufacturing Officer position was created to coordinate efforts from the state and private sector to expand manufacturing in Connecticut.
Updated details on how to benefit from the Good Jobs Challenge and how manufacturers can benefit from it via training programs, incumbent worker training on-site, and by referring employee candidates who require training to the NRWIB.
