The Northwest Regional Workforce Investment Board (NRWIB), in collaboration with UConn Waterbury and 20-30 leading industry partners, is thrilled to announce WISHFEST, an event designed to bring UConn Waterbury’s six dynamic degree programs to life. This interactive and engaging event will take place on Thursday, March 28th, and will be open to high school students and UConn students alike. 

WISHFEST aims to bridge the gap between education and industry by providing students with hands-on experiences and direct access to top employers in the region. With the support of NRWIB and its innovative partners, students will explore career opportunities, connect with professionals, and gain insights into the practical applications of their studies.

To enhance the experience, NRWIB will provide cutting-edge Virtual Reality (VR) goggles, offering attendees an immersive look into various industries. Through this interactive technology, students will have the unique opportunity to virtually explore career paths, workplaces, and day-to-day roles across multiple sectors.
