
Northwest Connecticut NEXT GEN Manufacturing Partnership Hosts Danbury Hiring Event: Explore Career Opportunities in Manufacturing
September 15, 2024We are pleased to announce The Northwest Connecticut NEXT GEN Manufacturing Partnership (NCMP) is hosting a Manufacturing Hiring Event available to Danbury and surrounding town residents on Wednesday, September 15th from 11am – 3pm at Naugatuck Valley Community College, 9 West St. Danbury, CT. (Across the street from the Danbury Public Library.)
Free parking vouchers will be distributed on site for participants to park at the Terrance McNally Patriot Garage, located at 21 Delay Street, Danbury, CT 06810. (Across from the Danbury Ice Arena.)
This is an opportunity for those who are unemployed or looking to make a career change, to learn about various career opportunities that could be available to them in the manufacturing field.

Representatives from local manufacturers, the Northwest Regional Workforce Investment Board, Naugatuck Valley Community College and the Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce will be on site to review various opportunities with all who are interested. This event is an open house format, the public is invited to attend anytime that fits their schedule during the event between 11 am – 3pm. We also encourage those who plan to attend to bring a resume with them, if possible, as many local manufacturers are looking for both skilled and unskilled workers.
The NEXT GEN Partnership is the first regionwide, industry-led effort to promote the benefits of manufacturing careers to key target audiences, as well as provide all local education programs with insights on the latest industry trends and curriculum changes needed to train new manufacturing talent.
